Rutgers University Libraries seeks an experienced, creative energetic Music/Performing Arts Librarian (APP 184) to support the research and educational needs of the music and performing arts communities of the New Brunswick/Piscataway Campus. The librarian will have the opportunity to shape programs of the newly established Sharon A. Fordham Multimedia Laboratory and support the faculty and students of Mason Gross School of the Arts.  An ALA accredited MLS or its equivalent with a minimum of three to five years library experience and an advanced degree in music, theater or dance and proficiency in at least one western European language is required. This is a tenure-track faculty position with benefits requiring research and publications, and active participation in professional associations.   Blanche and Irving Laurie Music Library’s substantial collections foster research and performance in a broad array of disciplines and genres. It is an ideal opportunity for a librarian 
 with 
vision and initiative. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
