The Midwest Graduate Music Consortium (MGMC) announces its 13th annual conference at Northwestern University on April 3-4, 2009.

Keynote Address: ANNEGRET FAUSER, Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, "Culture, Class, and Race in World War II America: The Case of Carmen Jones."  

DREW EDWARD DAVIES, Assistant Professor of Musicology at Northwestern University, will give a closing presentation. 

The conference includes a recital of new music by graduate student composers.
