The University of Iowa Center for Ethnic Studies and the Arts and the Mid-America American Studies Association will hold a conference on Identities and Technoculture, April 3-4 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.
Events include:
Keynote Address: "From Consumption to Production to Ecology: Tracing Pasts and Futures of American Techno-Identities" by Carolyn De La Pena, Associate Professor and Director, Davis Humanities Institute, University of California, Davis.
Special Film Screening: "Copyright Criminals: This is a Sampling Sport" with filmmakers Benjamin Franzen and Kembrew McLeod
