The editorial collective of the online journal Radical Musicology, based at Newcastle University UK, is thrilled to announce that volume 3 is now complete and available online at http://www.radical-musicology.org.uk.

For this volume, Professor Suzanne Cusick (Department of Music, New York University) has authored the 'fifth column' entitled 'Musicology, Torture, Repair'. This volume's articles include:

Alexandros N. Constansis 'The Changing Female-To-Male (FTM) Voice'

Richard Elliott 'Popular Music and/as Event: Subjectivity, Love and Fidelity in the Aftermath of Rock 'n' Roll'

Lars Iyer 'Speaking the Real: Richard Middleton's Voicing the Popular'

Linda Kouvaras 'Being 'In Tune with the Workings of Society': Violence, Maleness, and Two 'Touching Little Ballads''

Sally Macarthur 'A Becoming-Infinite-Cycle in Anne Boyd's Music: A Feminist-Deleuzian Exploration'

All content is free to view.

We are now accepting submissions for Volume 4. Radical Musicology is published in annual volumes, with new content added continuously when available. As well as major academic articles, it includes essay-reviews of particularly significant books, recordings and concerts, and, in the interests of furthering dialogue, also welcomes thoughtful responses to articles.
