The Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations is seeking submission of 10
 minute long papers on the topic "Old Texts/Modern Music" for the 2009 Modern
 Language Association conference in Philadelphia, December 27 - 30, 2009.  We
 are looking for brief studies of 20th and 21st century musical compositions
 based on Medieval or Renaissance texts in any language.  E mail papers
 (approximately five pages in length) to <DrJSDailey at aol.com> by March 20,
 2009.
 
 
The Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations seeks proposals on the topic "Methodology--ways of analyzing words and music together" for the 2009 Modern Language Association conference, to be held in Philadelphia on December 27-30.  Papers selected will also be published in an anthology.  We are looking for studies that detail ways, means, and theories of analyzing music based on literary texts.  Send 250 word proposals to <DrJSDailey at aol.com> by March 20, 2009.
