Call for Papers

Society for Eighteenth-Century Music Session during the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 18-21 March 2010.

The Society for Eighteenth-Century Music invites proposals for its session entitled “Improvisation in the Eighteenth Century” to be held at the 2010 meeting of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 18-21 March 2010. The session will focus on the art of improvisation it was taught, learned, performed, and consumed. Interdisciplinary perspectives and proposals that feature live or recorded performances are welcome. Abstracts of 250 words should be submitted by 1 October 2009 to Margaret Butler by email: butlermr at ufl.edu
