SUMMER FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN CONCERT
PROGRAM ANNOTATION & PUBLICATION

The Tanglewood Music Center (TMC), the Boston Symphony Orchestra's
prestigious summer academy for advanced musical training, announces a
new Fellowship in the area of program publications.

Under the guidance and supervision of the BSO Publications Office and
TMC staff, the Publications Fellow will gain hands-on experience in the
creation of printed concert programs and related activities. Based on
his or her interests and abilities, the Publications Fellow may:

- Write and/or edit program notes for TMC Orchestra concerts and select
chamber music concerts
- Produce printed programs for all TMC concerts, including gathering
and editing texts and translations for vocal programs
- Work with the BSO Publications Office in proofreading, editing, and
gathering materials for BSO program books
- Have the chance to attend BSO concerts and closed rehearsals, TMC
rehearsals and concerts, classes, lectures, and other events
- Meet and confer with visiting performers, writers, and teachers
- Give a limited number of talks to the TMC community
- Collaborate with TMC Composition Fellows on program notes for newly
composed works

Please note that Fellows of the TMC are required to be in residence for
eight weeks (June 21-August 17) at Tanglewood, the summer home of the
Boston Symphony Orchestra. Housing and most meals are provided.
