Carleton Universitys Music program invites applications for a tenure-track position (entry level) at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2009. Applicants should have expertise in historical musicology, with specialty prior to 1800 (classical, baroque, renaissance and/or medieval). The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses in Music history from introductory first year to the M.A. level (music and culture). Applicants must have a Ph.D., a strong commitment to scholarship reflected in publications, an active research profile and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
