Berlin Network for Research on Sound Perception
A network is currently being established in Berlin to facilitate exchange
among researchers from various disciplines and institutions who share an
interest in sound perception. Humanists and scientists are equally welcome
to participate in our informal colloquia that will be held three times a
year at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science
(<http://www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de>www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de). A call for papers will be published in due
course.
To launch this series of colloquia, we have invited Juerg Stenzl (Salzburg
University). Prof. Stenzl will speak about the history of musical
interpretation.
Date and time: Monday 30 March, 16:00
Venue: MPI for the History of Science, Berlin
Anyone in or passing through Berlin is welcome to attend.
The Berlin Network for Research on Sound Perception is a joint initiative
between the Emmy Noether Research Group for the "History and Philosophy of
Music Listening", and research scholars from the MPI for the History of
Science and the Free University, Berlin.
News and updates about the network's activities will be published here
regularly.
