Volume 5.2 (2008) of Nineteenth-Century Music Review, commissioned by
General Editor Bennett Zon, published by Ashgate in association with the
Centre for Nineteenth-Century Music, Durham University, UK, and
guest-edited by James Sobaskie and Susan Youens, is entitled  Schubert
Familiar and Unfamiliar: New Perspectives.

Invited articles by Robert Hatten, Susan Youens, Xavier Hascher and
James Sobaskie reveal new aspects of Schubert's art through close
contextual analysis of his music.

A comprehensive examination of Hyperion Records’s forty-CD set Franz
Schubert: The Complete Songs, composed of invited reviews by James
Parsons, Susan Wollenberg, Susannah Clark, David Gramit, Susan Youens,
Lorraine Byrne Bodley and Richard Kramer, offers a panoramic survey of
Schubert's contribution to the genre of the lied, as well as detailed
reflections on interpretation, performance practice, compositional style
and structure.
