Call for Recommendations: Master Teacher Presentation at AMS 2009

The Committee for Career Related Issues of the American Musicological
Society is calling for recommendations of Master Teachers.  At the National
Meeting in Philadelphia, November 2009, the Committee will again be
sponsoring a presentation by an outstanding teacher from our field. The
session will include a brief talk on a topic of the speaker¹s choice
followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion of the craft of
teaching.  The Committee invites recommendations of experienced and
inspiring teachers who are dedicated to the classroom experience and
creative in their approach to undergraduate teaching for both majors and
non-majors. Recommendations, including a description of the merits of each
candidate, can be sent to Jim Davis (davisj at fredonia.edu).  Deadline for
recommendations is March 1.  Please note that recommendations from previous
years will be considered in each year¹s deliberations.
