CFP: HORROR STUDIES (Journal)
Horror Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the rigorous study of the aesthetics of horror in all of its cultural and historical forms, from film and literature, music and dance, to fine art, photography and beyond. Seeking to advance the academic study of horror in theoretically and historically informed ways, Horror Studies is devoted to publishing high-quality articles and reviews relevant to its focus. With a strong commitment to interdisciplinarity, Horror Studies seeks to foster fruitful dialogue on horror between a wide range of different critical and scholarly traditions.
With Intellect Books (<http://www.intellectbooks.com>www.intellectbooks.com; www.intellectbooks.co.uk) as its publisher, the first issue of Horror Studies will appear in Autumn 2009. The editors welcome submissions for Volume One, Issue One until April 1, 2009. Submissions after that date will be considered for Volume One, Issue Two. Rather than abstracts, the editors request that authors submit completed manuscripts using Harvard Style citations.
