Job Description:
The Department of Performing and Visual Arts at The American University in Cairo seeks a faculty member to teach courses (and possibly offer some private instruction) in at least two of four areas: 1) music theory, 2) music technology, 3) Arab music (performance and/or theory and history), and/or 4) guitar performance.
Requirements:
Doctorate and teaching experience at the university level are required. Priority will be given to applications received by November 15, 2008.
Additional Information:
Tenure track position, with an initial two- or three-year (renewable) contract starting September 1, 2009. Renewal of an appointment depends upon institutional needs and the appointee's performance.
