The Department of Music at the University of Nottingham invites applications for the above post.  Candidates should have a record of research achievement, demonstrate potential to attract research students and grant income, and show a commitment to teaching.  Applications are welcome from all areas of the discipline, and are particularly welcome from candidates able to contribute to the Department's research cluster in music and geography and/or its Centre for Music on Stage and Screen.

Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent), or be near completion, in music. This post is available from 31 August 2009, will be offered on a permanent contract and is open to job share. The closing date for applications is 24 November 2008.
