Dear colleagues,

We invite you to have a look at the new website for the LGBTQ Study
Group of the AMS, now online at

www.ams-lgbtq.org

The LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) Study Group
was established twenty years ago at the 1988 AMS conference in
Baltimore. Since those early days the group has provided an active forum
for all scholars interested in issues concerning music, sexuality and
gender. You can find out more about the Study Group’s past and present
activities on the website, which features a complete run of our
Newsletter from the first to final issue (1991-2007). The Updates page
continues this function by providing information about related
conferences and recent scholarship plus new articles.

We also invite you to attend our Friday afternoon program and Friday
evening party at the upcoming conference in Nashville!
