[AMS-announce] CONF: Yale Graduate Student Symposium, Yale University, New Haven, CT, March 29-30, 2008

[Announcements for the AMS]

The Yale Department of Music invites you to attend the inaugural Yale 
Graduate Student Symposium, to be held March 29-30, 2008. The 
conference will feature a lecture-workshop with Professor James 
Hepokoski on the first movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, a 
Javanese gamelan klenengan, and 13 papers from 12 universities on 
topics ranging from Webern to extreme metal. The Saturday sessions 
will take place in the Sterling Memorial Library Lecture Hall, and 
the Sunday sessions will take place in the Whitney Humanities Center.
