[AMS-announce] JOB: Visiting Asst. Professor of Historical Musicology, University of Michigan

The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance seeks 
candidates for a one-year, non-renewable visiting assistant 
professorship in historical musicology to begin in fall 
2008.  Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. and have a 
specialty in European art music of the 19th century.  Preference will 
be given to candidates who have demonstrated success teaching large 
undergraduate courses.  Courses to be taught include the 1750-1945 
portion of the music history sequence for undergraduate music majors 
as well as undergraduate/graduate surveys pertaining to the symphonic 
and art song repertory. Please send a cover letter detailing research 
and teaching experience, curriculum vitae, sample syllabi (for 
courses to be offered), and three letters of reference to: Prof.
