University of Hong Kong: 
Post-doctoral Fellow in Musicology in the School of Humanities (Music)

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Musicology in the School of Humanities (Music), from as soon as possible for a period of two years (on a non-renewable basis).  

Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. degree within the last 6 years and should specialize in popular music in China. Preference will be given to candidates with (1) a record of research on the relationship between popular music, Chinese ethnicities and diasporic communities, (2) a demonstrated commitment to inter-disciplinary work, (3) a research profile that will contribute to the University's leadership in the study of cultural exchanges between East and West.  

The appointee will be given office accommodation and administrative support in the department of music, which offers a diverse programme of study covering composition,  music technology, music criticism and theory, film music, Western music history, popular music, and world music. The appointee will be expected to devote the majority of time to research, particularly to producing publications, and participating in research seminars.
