The Department of Music at the College of Charleston invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in musicology beginning August 2008.  We seek a candidate with experience teaching at the undergraduate level who is willing to lead, develop, and broaden course offerings in music history for majors and non-majors.  Scholars in any area of research in musicology may apply.  Special attention will be given to candidates with a second area of experience in performance, Early Music, theory, or ethnomusicology.  Interest in teaching entry-level music theory and musicianship courses for non-majors is also desired.  The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in musicology and demonstrated scholarly achievement and promise and a willingness to work with colleagues across disciplines.

The deadline for applications is March 14, 2008.
