Hunter College of the City University of New York invites applications for Assistant Professor in the Department of Music.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in jazz and/or popular music; direct jazz and/or pop ensembles; supervise M.A. theses; develop curriculum. Departmental administrative duties will also be assigned.  Requirements:  A completed doctorate or equivalent professional experience, documented record of achievement as a performer and/or scholar, and evidence of success as a college teacher.  Breadth of teaching experience, interdisciplinary interests and administrative experience desired.
