[AMS-announce] ANNOUNCEMENT: Edward Aldwell International Center for Piano Performance and Musicianship Established

The Edward Aldwell International Center for Piano Performance and Musicianship (EAC) is established at the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD), and is collaborating closely with the Jerusalem Music Center (JMC). The Aldwell Center serves as living homage to Edward Aldwell’s outstanding personality and rich professional heritage, imprinted so deeply in the hearts and minds of so many musicians everywhere.

The mission of the Aldwell Center is to broaden the horizons of young musicians in Israel by exposing them to outstanding musical performers, teachers and scholars worldwide. The Center endorses informed musical performance: an approach that complements natural musical intuition, expression and temperament, with a broad analytical perspective. To meet its educational goals the Center implements an annual program of master classes, lectures, workshops, and guest performances.
