Stanford University, March 7-9
To mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of one of last century's most influential musical creators, Stanford Lively Arts presents "The Stravinsky Project."
Festival at a Glance:
March 6, 7:30pm: "Hollywood Exiles" a talk by Joseph Horowitz, Cubberley Auditorium
March 7, 5:30-7:00pm: "Interpreting Stravinsky," a presentation of Stravinsky's piano recordings and a live performance of the Sonata for Two Pianos; featuring Russian-trained pianists (including Alexander Toradze) and Stanford faculty, Campbell Recital Hall
March 7, 8:00pm: Concert: "Stravinsky's Grand Works in Intimate Form," Dinkelspiel Auditorium
March 8, 8:00pm and March 9, 2:30pm: Concert: "The Elaborated Stravinsky," Dinkelspiel Auditorium (with pre-concert talks by Joseph Horowitz at 7:00pm and 1:30pm)
