Musicology/Ethnomusicology, Southern Methodist University, Assistant Professor, tenure track.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duties: Each candidate must be a creative teacher/scholar of musicology/ethnomusicology with a deep interest in teaching Western music history and with additional interests that reflect the global and interdisciplinary nature of Southern Methodist University and the Meadows School of the Arts.
Qualifications: Preferred: Completed Ph.D. at the time of application; proven success in teaching undergraduate and graduate music major courses; evidence of ongoing engagement in significant scholarly activities. Minimum: Completed Ph.D. in musicology at the time of hire; experience in university-level teaching.
