CALL FOR PAPERS

The Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS) 15th Annual Conference “The Five Senses in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance”

Tempe, Arizona 12-14 February 2009

The ACMRS invites session and paper proposals for its annual interdisciplinary conference.  We especially welcome papers that focus on this year’s theme, “The Five Senses,” both in its literal and metaphorical manifestations.

Submission Deadline: OCTOBER 15, 2008 (5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time)
Submissions will only be accepted at http://link.library.utoronto.ca/acmrs/conference/

Selected papers related to the conference theme will be considered for publication in the conference volume of the Arizona Studies in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance series, published by Brepols.

The conference keynote speaker will be Stephen G. Nichols, James M. Beall Professor of French and Humanities and Chair of the Romance Languages and Literatures Department at The Johns Hopkins University.
