WORLD PREMIERE AT DUDLEY HOUSE, HARVARD YARD/FRIDAY, 18 APRIL @ 4 PM

The Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations is honored to commemorate
the anniversaries of the tragic assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy forty years ago this Spring.

For this event, Lyrica has commissioned the distinguished American
composer Lori Laitman to compose a cycle of songs which she has
entitled "And Music Will Not End", set to poems by Anne Ranasinghe
and John Wood. Mezzo-soprano D'Anna Fortunato, professor at the New
England Conservatory of Music, will be premiering this cycle with the
composer at the piano.

The Harvard-Lyrica Dialogues are interdisciplinary symposia and
lecture-recitals intended to complement the broad, interdisciplinary
nature of critical inquiry across the Harvard campus. Held each
Spring term, the Dialogues exploit inter-related yet independent
facets of a common theme.

Coridally,

Paul-Andre Bempechat, President
Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations
