Appointment Effective August 2008
Position Title: Two positions open: Instructor (Ethnomusicology/General Education Music).
Two-year appointment with second year renewal contingent upon favorable performance evaluation; a second, two-year term is possible.
Major Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching world music and/ or music appreciation in the general education curriculum, assisting with the Arts Village (a residential student learning community) and other teaching duties as assigned by the chair and/or dean.
Qualifications:
1. Doctorate (earned or ABD) in ethnomusicology (doctorate preferred). Area of expertise is open. Ability to lead taiko ensemble desired.
2. Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college level preferred.
Salary: The salary is competitive and commensurate with peer institution levels for rank and position, and in keeping with candidate experience and credentials.
