Boston University Music Society: Graduate Student 
Conference in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Music Theory
"Music in America"
Saturday, April 12, 9am – 4:30pm

The Boston University Music Society, BU's 
graduate student association for music 
scholarship, is pleased to announce its first 
graduate student conference, "Music in America," 
to be held on Saturday, April 12th at the College of Fine Arts.

The conference will feature a keynote address by 
Wayne Marshall, the Florence Levy Kay Fellow in 
Ethnomusicology at Brandeis University, with a 
paper entitled "'New World' Music, New 'World Music,' American Music."
