MUSICOLOGY, Tenure-Track Appointment, August 2008

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses for music majors; advise Ph.D. dissertations and D.M. research projects; maintain an active program of research and scholarly publication. Participation on departmental committees, doctoral advisory committees, and in other departmental activities, as well as service on Jacobs School of Music committees, is expected.
	
QUALIFICATIONS: The musicology department seeks a scholar with expertise in music before 1500. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching and an emerging or established reputation for scholarly achievement.

SALARY AND RANK: The search committee will consider both junior and senior applicants; rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A completed Ph.D. degree by August 2008 is required.
