New Monograph Series, 1: Chambonnières
The Journal of Seventeenth-Century Music (JSCM) is pleased to
announce the availability of the first volume of its new series,
"JSCM Instrumenta." Volume 1 is a thematic catalogue of the works of
Jacques Champion de Chambonnières (1601/02-1672). Like JSCM itself,
this is available online (exclusively) and is completely free thanks
to the support of the Society for Seventeenth-Century Music.
The primary access is via the JSCM home page: http://www.sscm-jscm.org
It can also be reached directly at the site of our partner in
publication, the University of Illinois Press:
http://sscm-jscm.press.uiuc.edu/instrumenta01.html
JSCM Instrumenta are peer-reviewed collections of data that provide
resources to aid in the study and performance of seventeenth-century
music. Unlike articles in JSCM, instrumenta are revised by the author
when new information is discovered. The date of the most recent
revision is indicated on the contents page of each volume.
I am happy to accept proposals for future volumes of "JSCM Instrumenta."
