OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE 

Assistant Professor of Music History and Cultural Studies, tenure-track appointment. Teaching duties include courses in Music History, upper-division seminars, courses in the general education program and first-year Core program, and advising senior projects. Maintain an active program of research and scholarly publication. Participation on departmental and College committees and in other departmental activities is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching and an emerging or established reputation for scholarly achievement. A completed Ph.D. degree by August 2008 is required.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Start date: August 16, 2008
