Rank: Assistant Professor

The Department of Music at the College of William and Mary invites applications for a tenure-track position in composition/theory at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The successful candidate should have expertise in areas that complement the interests of other members of the faculty. Teaching responsibilities will include such areas as composition, theory and analysis, and orchestration/instrumentation; other areas of interest might include computer music, jazz arranging/composition, film scoring, and multi-media studio production.  The candidate should be a successful teacher and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a highly selective liberal arts college. Doctorate must be completed by August 27, 2008.  Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review begins 10/15/07 and continues until filled.
