One-Semester, Part-Time Position in Psychology of Music, Winter/Spring 2008
The Department of Psychology and Department of Music at Tufts University are seeking applicants for a part-time position to teach a course in the Psychology of Music. The individual filling this position must have a doctoral-level degree in a relevant area with a background or experience in psychological perspectives on different aspects of musical perception processing, appreciation, and abilities. One-Semester, Part-Time Position in Composition, Winter/Spring 2008
The Department of Music at Tufts University announces a one-semester, part-time position for a composer. We seek an imaginative, practicing composer with broad interests, exceptional promise, and a strong commitment to group and private teaching. Ph.D. or ABD in composition and teaching experience required. Duties are to teach a weekly, project-based composition seminar taken by graduate students (Master of Arts in Music candidates) and advanced undergraduate students; to offer private lessons to those same students (six to eight hours weekly); and to coach composers and performers in student works that are being performed as part of the Tufts Composers Concerts.
