[AMS-announce] ANNOUNCEMENT: Oxford University Press / AMS OPUS Silent Auction: Taruskin and Encyclopedia of Popular Music

Thanks to a generous contribution from Oxford University Press, the AMS OPUS Capital Campaign is again offering a new copy of Richard Taruskin, The Oxford History of Western Music (Oxford University Press, 2005; ISBN 9780195169799) to the highest bidder. 

In addition, we are auctioning the Encyclopedia of Popular Music, ed. Colin Larkin, 4th edn., 10 vols. (Oxford University Press, 2005; ISBN 0195313739)! 

Bids will be received via e-mail or in person at the AMS OPUS booth in the Quebec City exhibit hall. Bidding closes Saturday 3 November 2007 at 5 p.m., and the winner will be announced at the AMS Business Meeting and Awards Presentation later that evening. The AMS will cover shipping costs.
