The Department of Art History and Music at Fordham University announces a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Music with a specialty in Western music of the 17th and 18th centuries. A strong commitment to undergraduate education, significant college teaching experience, and a completed Ph.D. are required. The candidate will be expected to advise students as well as teach the Introductory Music History course for non-majors and upper level courses in the Music History sequence. Candidates with a secondary area of research in Ethnomusicology, contemporary popular music or other areas that complement the existing strengths of the faculty are especially sought.
