Music History - Full time tenure track; Assistant Professor of Music History: California State University, Chico, beginning August 2008. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in musicology or ethnomusicology (ABD considered); Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, commitment to excellent teaching and to addressing the needs of a diverse population of music major; a thorough grounding in both the Western music cannon and global or popular music. Additional experience helpful in world, jazz or pop ensemble conducting or performance. 

DUTIES: Teach courses in classical, American and global music history; general education courses in appreciation, global and/or popular music. Maintain activity in the appropriate professional organizations and provide service to the department, university and community. Teaching assignment will depend on the needs of the department. 

Rank: Assistant Professor. 

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
