Assistant/Associate Professor of Music.  The Music Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks to appoint a scholar with expertise in the field of music since 1900.  Applicants must have a record of scholarly publication and excellent classroom teaching.  The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research, service, and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; a Ph.D. is required. The appointment, effective July 1, 2008, will be made at a rank commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience, either as an advanced Assistant Professor or as an Associate Professor.
