Oakland University, Dept. of Music, Theatre and Dance: Assistant Professor of Musicology (tenure track), with specialization in Western Art music after 1800. 

Primary responsibilities; maintain and develop an active program of research and scholarly publication, teach required undergraduate and graduate music history courses, student advising, departmental and university service. Secondary teaching area a definite advantage (all areas considered), especially in one or more of the following; American music, History of theory, Performance practice. Candidates will be expected to have a broad knowledge of music in the Western tradition.  

Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in Musicology (ABD considered), a record of and/or potential for development in research and scholarship, and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
