The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Case Western Reserve University will celebrate the legacy of one of the founding fathers of rock and roll, the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis, during the 12th Annual American Music Masters® series this November. The weeklong event begins on Monday, November 5, and will feature panels, films, educational programs, an all-day conference at Case and a tribute concert at Playhouse Square’s State Theater.

Saturday, November 10: Daylong Conference at Case Western Reserve University’s Wolstein Auditorium, 2103 Cornell Road, in the Wolstein Research Building, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Participants will include Jerry Lee Lewis’ longtime musical associate Kenny Lovelace, first generation Sun Records musicians Billy Lee Riley and James Van Eaton, legendary artists Sleepy LaBeef and Narvel Felts, former Sun Records engineer Cowboy Jack Clement, longtime Jerry Lee Lewis friends and associates JW Whitten and Cecil Harrelson, Knox Phillips (son of Sam Phillips, founder of Sun Records), Jerry Lee Lewis’ sister Linda Gail Lewis, and, as keynote presenter, celebrated author Peter Guralnick. Tickets are $30 and are available through Ticketmaster and the Museum box office.

Saturday, November 10:  Tribute concert at Playhouse Square’s State Theatre. Tickets to the concert, which are $30, $40 and $50, may be purchased through tickets.com and at the Playhouse Square box office or by calling (216) 241-6000. Chrissie Hynde, George Thorogood, Shelby Lynne, Kris Kristofferson, The Del McCoury Band and Sleepy LaBeef ,Terry Adams from NRBQ, Wanda Jackson, Narvel Felts, Billy Lee Riley, Cowboy Jack Clement and Jason D. Williams are scheduled to perform. The program will also feature appearances by Jerry Lee Lewis’s cousin the Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, who will perform on the piano, and by Lewis’ sister Linda Gail Lewis.
