Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Musicology

New Zealand School of Music (a joint venture of Victoria University and Massey University)

Wellington, New Zealand

The New Zealand School of Music, based in Wellington, seeks applications for an appointment in musicology, start date open. A PhD in musicology is required and specialisation in music of the 18th century is desired. The NZSM may give preference to applications from scholars who also have an interest in analytic theory, or the pursuit of interdisciplinary perspectives. A record of successful teaching and outstanding potential as a scholar is expected.

Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contributing to the administration of the School. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to maintain or create a research programme of international distinction, in an area of research that will enhance the strategic profile of the NZSM. Please include up to three publication samples with your application.
