     * * *   CALL FOR PROPOSALS   * * *
             May 2007

A-R Editions requests proposals for scholarly critical editions of music
to be included in its Recent Researches series.  Each edition is usually
devoted to works by a single composer or to a single genre of
composition and contains an introduction to the music and its historical
context, a critical report, and translations of vocal texts.


The series include:
     o -- Recent Researches in the Music of the Middle Ages and
               Early Renaissance
     o -- Recent Researches in the Music of the Renaissance
     o -- Recent Researches in the Music of the Baroque Era
     o -- Recent Researches in the Music of the Classical Era
     o -- Recent Researches in the Music of the Nineteenth and
               Early Twentieth Centuries
     o -- Recent Researches in American Music
     o -- Recent Researches in the Oral Traditions of Music
     o -- Collegium Musicum

We accept proposals at any time, but they are reviewed once per quarter.
The next deadlines for submissions are 1 June 2007 and 1 September 2007.
Proposals are peer-reviewed both externally and by A-R staff
musicologists.  We will inform you as quickly as possible of our
decision.
