For AMSers in the DC area:

The next concert by Post-Classical Ensemble premieres a commissioned work
by Zhou Long, conceived as a companion to Mahler's "Abschied" from "The
Song of the Earth," which will also be performed. Traditional Chinese
music (pipa, erhu) and pertinent Chinese poetry complete the program.

Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Univ. of Maryland at College Park,
Friday March 16 at 8 pm (pre-concert Prelude at 7 pm).
