Journal Announcement

Dear friends and colleagues everywhere,

I am delighted to announce the launch of a new online music journal, ReSonare, published by the Graduate Music Students Association at the University of Alberta.

The aim of ReSonare is to broaden and disseminate the vistas of musical scholarship and to promote multidisciplinary approaches to the study of music. We welcome contributions from all areas of musicology, criticism, music theory, composition, ethnomusicology, popular music studies, performance studies and pedagogy, as well as disciplines outside of music departments. Submissions that include creative media are highly encouraged (i.e. hypertext, flash animation, etc.).

At this time we welcome submissions for the premiere issue, "Contemporary Challenges in Interdisciplinary Musical Scholarship". If you wish to submit material please email the Chief Editor, Mickey Vallee (vallee at ualberta . ca), for the submission guidelines. Deadline: May 1, 2007.
