A website has been launched for the OMS Music rating system and model

http://www.omsmodel.com

OMS is based on ideas from Artificial Intelligence / Neural Networks as
well as intensive analysis of musical masterpieces (classical and popular).
OMS assigns a numeric rating to any kind of music - classical, popular,
world-music, ? The underlying model also yields interesting comments on
musical topics.

To date, the lowest rating has been [ 9] (for "Hot Cross Buns", a simple
children's folk tune). The highest rating has been [680] (Beethoven
Piano Sonata Op. 110).

The current version of the website is for a mass-audience, although
musical specialists should also find it interesting. The website will
soon be expanded to provide materials specifically for musical specialists.

The OMS project is cutting-edge in terms of: The novelty and depth of
the model; the generality of the model (seems to work with any kind of
music); the rating system. Comments and suggestions will be greatly
appreciated!
