POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Vanderbilt University -- Lecturer in Music History and/or Ethnomusicology

The Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University seeks an  
enthusiastic teacher for a one-year renewable position as Lecturer in 
Music History and/or Ethnomusicology beginning August 15, 2007.   
Primary responsibilities are teaching undergraduate major and non- 
major courses in American vernacular musics (jazz, blues, popular  
music) and world music.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or A.B.D. in musicology or ethnomusicology;  
demonstration of effective teaching.
