One-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology/Musicology; 
non-tenure eligible. Attractive benefits package.

The NAU School of Music seeks a dynamic, creative, collegial, and 
dedicated teacher of non-Western and Western music for a one-year 
visiting assistant professor position, non-tenure eligible. Job 
begins August 2007. The assignment primarily involves traditional 
classroom teaching in ethnomusicology, Western music history, and 
music research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in ethnomusicology, musicology, or related disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in ethnomusicology, musicology, or related disciplines. 
Background in Hispanic or Native American music highly desirable. 
Demonstrated success in teaching at the university/collegiate level. 
Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations.

The School of Music at Northern Arizona University continues a proud

performers, and scholars for the State of Arizona and the 
Southwestern U.S. A growing number of undergraduate and graduate 
students, approximately 450 in number, pursue degrees in music 
education, performance, choral conducting, instrumental conducting, 
music theory and composition, musicology, Suzuki violin/viola, and
