Colleagues:

I am happy to announce that the University of North Texas has recently completed a retrospective scanning venture of our Jean-Baptiste Lully Collection, which includes nearly thirty rare seventeenth- and eighteenth-century scores of operas and ballets, many in first editions by Ballard. A project originally begun in 1997 and redesigned in 2005, we are indebted to Mark Phillips and the Digital Projects Unit at UNT, who used a Zeutschel Omniscan 10000 to provide higher-resolution images for more detailed scholarly study.

The collection is accessible at

We look forward to digitizing more of our rare items in the future, as well as re-scanning the rest of our Virtual Rare Book
Room

The UNT libraries are also in the process of moving to a content management=
system, which means our website will be sporting a sleek new look in the coming months.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
