Call for Recommendations: Master Teacher Presentation at AMS Quebec City 2007

The Committee on Career-Related Issues of the American Musicological Society
is calling for recommendations of Master Teachers.  At the National Meeting
in Quebec City, November 2007, the Committee will again be sponsoring a
presentation by an outstanding teacher from our field.  The session will
include a brief talk on a topic of the speaker's choice followed by an
opportunity for questions and discussion of the craft of teaching.  The
Committee invites recommendations of experienced and inspiring teachers who
are dedicated to the classroom experience and creative in their approach to
undergraduate teaching for both majors and non-majors.  Recommendations can
be sent to either Jim Davis (davisj at fredonia.edu) or Effie Papanikolaou (*
papanie at muohio.edu*).  Deadline for recommendations is *March 1*.  Please
note that recommendations from previous years will be considered in each
year's deliberations.
