[AMS-announce] CFP: AMS Pac. Southwest Chapter, Mt. St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, Feb 2008

The Pacific Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society
will hold its winter 2008 meeting at Mount St. Mary's College in Los
Angeles on Saturday, February 16, 2008.  Abstracts for presentations
are welcomed and should be sent to Michael Arshagouni at arshagmh at
lavc.edu.   Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words, fit on a
single 8 1/2 x 11 page, and provide a clear idea of your methodology
and conclusions.  The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, January
16.  In addition to diverse scholarly papers, we are planning a
special panel discussion on the teaching of music history, and we
welcome the active participation of speakers who wish to address the
latest challenges and techniques of music history pedagogy.  Those
interested in speaking on the panel should send proposals to Jane
Stevens at jrstevens at ucsd.edu.
