AMS Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship 2008

For a graduate student at a North American University who is a member
of a group historically underrepresented in the discipline

Students are eligible who have completed at least one year of graduate
work, intend to pursue a Ph.D., and are in good standing at their home
institution. The Fellowship is not restricted to dissertation work.
Awards are based on merit, with no restrictions as to research area,
age, or sex.. Intended for full-time study, this award is made for one
year and carries a one-time twelve-month stipend of $18,000, sometimes
increased by continuing support from the recipient's home institution.
