[AMS-announce] CFP: Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations at the AMS Annual Meeting, Nashville, Nov. 2008

In celebration of the centenary of the birth of Olivier Messiaen in 2008, the Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations will devote one of its sessions to Messiaen at the American Musicological Society's annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee (November 6-9, 2008). The session is entitled 'Messiaen and Text Setting'. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words in length and be sent jointly to Professor Mark DeVoto [mdevoto [at] granite.tufts.edu] and Professor Andrew Shenton [shenton [at] bu.edu] by 15 February 2008. Submissions should include contact information and professional affiliation. Contributors will be notified by March 15 and if selected will be asked to confirm their acceptance and their intention to attend the conference by May 1.
